The 6 "have courage and be kind tattoo" ideas below run from a single delicate forearm line to a Portuguese script translation, and the right one depends on whether you want the wording visible or the animal doing that work.
Each piece below comes from a credited Instagram artist, from a full Portuguese script translation to four-pointed stars set along the collarbone.
1. Kindness Tattoo
Some days the news makes kindness feel like a rebellion rather than a default setting. The size shift does quiet work about which one takes more nerve: "BE BRAVE" in uppercase, "be kind." in lowercase, both halves kept in view.
A kindness tattoo works best when the phrase matches your actual stumble; someone who defaults soft might need the bravery reminder more.
The period after "kind" turns it into a complete thought rather than a slogan. Placed on the upper arm, it stays visible enough for you, private enough for strangers.

[Semi-Permanent, Realistic Tattoos] INKARTLINK semi-permanent tattoos are lifelike, durable, waterproof, and sweat-resistant, lasting 7–14 days and gradually fading as the skin’s outer layer sheds. They’re perfect for everyday wear, events, or themed occasions. From the beach to the office, they stay vibrant, allowing you to effortlessly showcase your body art in any setting.
2. Lion Courage Tattoo
A lion carries courage without needing the word written anywhere, which makes this version interesting: the animal does the symbol work while "COURAGE" and "PATIENCE" run vertically through geometric breaks like architectural supports.
The black and grey palette keeps the large format from shouting. Someone drawn to strength imagery but working in a conservative field gets the meaning without the cartoon boldness of pure traditional work.
On a forearm, vertical text bars keep the composition tall rather than wide; a back placement would let a mane spread wider if you want that instead.
3MM Tiny Tattoo Practice skin Made from high-quality materials, it is closely mimic the texture and feel of real human skin. This gives you a realistic experience, allowing you to refine your skills before working on actual clients

3. Forearm Delicate Script Tattoo
Fine-line script follows the forearm’s long axis naturally, and the exact weight this needs is hairline strokes that hold up only with a steady hand and a healed result.
The quote "have courage and be kind" runs long enough to need the full forearm; a shorter phrase would float.
Matching the tattoo to handwriting, as the photo does with the card below, gives the font personal source code rather than a downloaded file. After healing, this line weight can soften; accepting that trade gets you the delicacy you wanted.

4. Collarbone Tattoo with Stars
The collarbone gives a straight horizon for text, and the four-pointed stars here act as punctuation without competing.
Fine-line work in this spot risks blowout from thin skin over bone, so the artist keeps the stars simple enough that slight spread would not ruin their geometry.
The shoulder placement means half the tattoo hides under most shirts; the wearer chooses when to show it.
Someone who wants daily self-reminder more than public statement gets that control. The collarbone heals easier and ages more forgivingly than the neck, which works as an alternative but asks more of you long-term.

5. Butterfly with Block Lettering
The gap between them matters; too close and they would compete, too far and they disconnect.
"HAVE COURAGE & BE KIND" in all caps reads faster than script, which suits a phrase this long. The ampersand saves width against "and."
Someone drawn to this might check whether the butterfly species carries meaning for them; if not, the generic form still works as transformation symbol. Black ink on lighter skin holds this contrast longest.

6. Portuguese Script Translation
"Tenha coragem e Seja gentil" carries the same rhythm as the original, the Portuguese softening hard consonants.
A translation tattoo needs a native speaker check; online converters miss register and capitalization, and "Seja" here reads as a command, which fits. The script weight matches the Latin alphabet version, delicate enough that accent marks stay legible.
Someone with Brazilian or Portuguese heritage gets personal layer; for others, the choice needs its own reason, since the meaning hides from most viewers. The manicured fingers suggest this as a considered, adult decision rather than impulse.
